Interpretation Services in Dubai

Interpretation for summits, trade shows and corporate events in Dubai

Maven provides interpretation services in Dubai for government summits, exhibitions and trade shows, financial and corporate events, international congresses, product launches and delegation visits. Interpreters work at the venue, online or in a hybrid format. Interpretation equipment can be provided for simultaneous format as well.

Maven has offices in the USA, Ireland, the UAE and Malaysia and has delivered interpretation in more than 20 countries. Because we work across several countries, we know the interpreters in each location we serve, Dubai included, and we choose them for each event by language pair and subject.

Languages spoken and required in Dubai

Arabic is the official language of the UAE and English is the common language of business. Dubai received 19.59 million international visitors in 2025: 26 percent came from the Gulf states and the wider Middle East and North Africa, and 15 percent from the CIS and Eastern Europe.

Arabic interpreters in Dubai

Arabic interpreters in Dubai are required at government-led summits, for delegations from other Arab states and for Arabic-language media, most often paired with English.

Russian interpreters in Dubai

Russian interpreters in Dubai are required for trade shows, investor meetings and property and tourism events: a Russian Business Council has worked under Dubai Chamber of Commerce since 2011, and Russia sent 140 companies to Gulfood 2026, its largest presence at the show.

Mandarin, Hindi and Urdu follow from Dubai's trade: Indian, Pakistani and Chinese firms were all among the ten largest groups of new Dubai Chamber members in 2025. UN-format events add French, Spanish and Chinese alongside Arabic, English and Russian.

Interpretation formats offered

  • Simultaneous (conference) interpretation

Simultaneous interpretation in Dubai is the standard format for summit plenaries, congress sessions and conference tracks at trade shows: interpreters work in pairs from booths and delegates choose their language on a receiver. Briefs often call the same service conference interpretation in Dubai.

  • Consecutive interpretation

We provide simultaneous interpretation services for these sessions and consecutive interpretation services for bilateral and business meetings, stand visits, press briefings and site tours.

  • Remote and hybrid interpretation

When speakers or part of the audience join online, the interpreters in Dubai can work from the venue or remotely through our remote interpretation services and hybrid interpretation services.

Events in Dubai that require interpreters

Our interpreters can work in the following venues

We can work in venues across Dubai, including the following:

  • Dubai World Trade Centre

On Sheikh Zayed Road. Opened in 1979 and is the exhibition and convention complex of the central business district.

  • Dubai Exhibition Centre

At Expo City Dubai, the sister venue of the Dubai World Trade Centre. Built for Expo 2020, has its own metro station and now hosts shows such as WHX Dubai and part of Gulfood.

  • Madinat Jumeirah

Hosts the World Governments Summit and the Dubai FinTech Summit.

  • Coca-Cola Arena

At City Walk, with 17,000 seats.

  • Festival Arena

In Dubai Festival City. Takes up to 9,000 guests.

  • Museum of the Future

    Hosts the Dubai Future Forum.

  • Dubai Opera

In Downtown Dubai, with 2,000 seats.

Hotel ballrooms across the city host corporate conferences and launches. Interpreters also work at free-zone offices in DIFC and elsewhere, government buildings and company premises.

Simultaneous interpretation equipment and technical support

For interpretation equipment rent in Dubai we supply:

  • Soundproof booths
  • Interpreter consoles and headsets
  • Infrared and FM systems
  • Wireless receivers for delegates
  • Portable systems for stand tours and small rooms
  • Technicians on site

The full range is described on our interpretation equipment page.

Maven does not keep its own equipment inventory in every location. Our own work is the language side: finding and coordinating qualified simultaneous interpreters and building the team that suits the subject and language pairs of each event.

In Dubai the interpretation systems are supplied and run by reliable technical providers with experience of conference equipment. We keep interpreters and technicians in step from the first sound check to the final session, and we check that the setup matches the format and size of the event.

Dubai's calendar can place several large shows in the same week, and equipment needs change a great deal between a stand-side presentation and a summit with six languages. An agency that owns equipment can still find its stock committed to another event or too small for the requirement. We can match the system to the event rather than adjust the event to the available stock.

Microphones, projectors, screens, voting devices and other peripherals can be added as part of the same turnkey package.

Questions about interpreters in Dubai

Simultaneous interpretation for conferences and forums, consecutive interpretation for meetings and visits. Both formats can be delivered on-site, remote or in hybrid setups. For on-demand short interpretation needs we also offer phone interpreter services. Additionally AI interpretation is offered for clientele who prefer it.

Simultaneous interpretation: we cover the official language of the UAE, Arabic, and the most frequently required languages, with interpreters available locally in combination with English: Russian, French, Spanish, Chinese and others. Interpretation into other languages may require interpreters to travel from other cities. Remote delivery can accommodate simultaneous interpretation into any major official language.

Consecutive interpretation: on-site, we can cover the most frequently required languages, with some limitations for rare and endangered languages. More choice is available if interpretation is provided remotely.

Please note that we can also provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation pairing Arabic with other major languages, including French, Spanish, and Russian, upon request.

On-demand phone interpretation: we cover 350+ languages including endangered and rare dialects. The full list is on our languages page.

Yes. For a stand at a trade show, one interpreter works consecutively between your team and visitors for the length of the show. Tell us the product, the buyers you expect and the languages they speak, and we will match the interpreter to your sector.
Yes. Maven arranges booths, consoles, receivers, portable systems and technicians through its technical partners in Dubai and coordinates them with the interpreters. The equipment section above describes what can be supplied, and peripherals such as microphones, projectors, screens and voting devices can be added.
Most of Maven's clients are UN agencies, intergovernmental organizations, governments, NGOs and international sports federations, and we also work for corporate clients. In Dubai that means government entities, humanitarian organizations, exhibitors, event organizers, financial firms and companies holding regional meetings.
We’d need to know the required interpretation languages, the dates and the duration of interpretation on each day, the venue (for a physical event, the city or area is sufficient), the format (on-site, hybrid or remote) and the subject matter of the event. For a trade show, add the hall and stand number and say whether the interpreter is required for stand work, a conference session or both. If equipment is also required, we need to know the total number of delegates who will require interpretation.
The format (simultaneous or consecutive), the required languages, the duration (number of days or hours), the delivery mode (on-site, remote or hybrid) and the subject matter. Travel and per diem charges may apply if interpretation is required outside Dubai.
Simultaneous interpreters normally need 20 to 40 or more days' booking notice, although we understand this is not always possible. During the weeks of the largest shows, when many organizers and exhibitors look for the same interpreters, some are booked as early as six months in advance. Consecutive interpreters can be booked at much shorter notice.
An advance payment, either full or partial, is normally required to confirm a booking. Selected and regular clients and the UN can be offered more flexible terms.
