Wildlife Conservation Society

Founded in 1895 and based at the Bronx Zoo, WCS works in over 60 countries to conserve wildlife and wild places through science, conservation action, education, and outreach.

The event required built-in interpretation booths and a single language pair, with the interpreter traveling from overseas to ensure expertise in the subject matter. Maven supplied and integrated the interpretation system with the venue’s built-in booths, providing complete AV coordination to ensure seamless functionality throughout the conference.

International Interpreter Deployment – Since a specialist interpreter was needed for the event’s environmental and conservation discussions, they were brought in from overseas to meet the required expertise level.
‍
Technical Setup – The on-site SI system had to be fully integrated into the venue’s AV setup, ensuring clear and uninterrupted interpretation for all attendees.
‍
Precision in Scientific Terminology – The discussions involved technical environmental and conservation language, requiring an interpreter proficient in both the scientific and policy-related aspects of conservation.

Expert Interpreter Selection – We sourced a highly experienced conservation-focused interpreter, ensuring a deep understanding of environmental science, sustainability, and policy discussions.
‍
Built-in Booth & AV Coordination – Our team ensured the seamless integration of interpretation booths with the venue’s audio system, allowing clear real-time interpretation.
‍
On-Site Technical Support – A dedicated technician was present throughout the event to manage the equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uninterrupted communication.

The WCS conference ran smoothly and efficiently, with accurate, high-quality simultaneous interpretation supporting discussions among international experts. The built-in booth setup, overseas interpreter expertise, and flawless technical execution ensured that language barriers did not hinder critical conservation dialogues.
