Interpretation Services in Abu Dhabi

Interpretation for government meetings, conferences and exhibitions in Abu Dhabi

Maven provides interpretation services in Abu Dhabi for government meetings, intergovernmental conferences, energy and defense exhibitions, financial forums and delegation visits. Interpreters work at the venue, online or in a hybrid format. Interpretation equipment can be provided for simultaneous format as well.

Maven has offices in the USA, Ireland, the UAE and Malaysia and has delivered interpretation in more than 20 countries. Because we work across several countries, we know the interpreters in each location we serve, Abu Dhabi included, and we choose them for each event by language pair and subject.

Arabic interpreters in Abu Dhabi

Arabic interpreters in Abu Dhabi are required at meetings with ministries and public authorities, at conferences opened by officials and for Arabic-language media, most often paired with English.

Russian interpreters in Abu Dhabi

Russian interpreters in Abu Dhabi are required for UN-format meetings, where Russian is one of the six official languages, and for defense and energy exhibitions: Russia ranked eighth among the countries of origin of IDEX 2025 visitors. The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department added Russian to its interactive claim forms in 2019, after Arabic, English, Hindi, Chinese and French.

Other languages follow the event. The World Trade Organization works in English, French and Spanish. China ranked second among IDEX visitor countries, which brings Mandarin, and India is the emirate's largest international hotel market, which brings Hindi.

Interpretation formats offered

  • Simultaneous (conference) interpretation

Simultaneous interpretation in Abu Dhabi is the working format of assemblies and ministerial conferences: interpreters work in pairs from booths, one booth per language, and delegates choose the interpretation channel on a receiver. Tenders often call the same service conference interpretation in Abu Dhabi.

  • Consecutive interpretation

We provide simultaneous interpretation services for these sessions and consecutive interpretation services for bilateral meetings, signing ceremonies, press briefings, business negotiations and site visits.

  • Remote and hybrid interpretation

When speakers or part of the audience join online, the interpreters in Abu Dhabi can work from the venue or remotely through our remote interpretation services and hybrid interpretation services.

Simultaneous interpretation equipment and technical support

For interpretation equipment rent in Abu Dhabi we supply:

  • Soundproof booths
  • Interpreter consoles and headsets
  • Infrared and FM systems
  • Wireless receivers for delegates
  • Technicians on site

The full range is described on our interpretation equipment page.

Maven does not keep its own equipment inventory in every location, and in Abu Dhabi the interpretation systems come from reliable local technical providers. We focus on sourcing qualified simultaneous interpreters, building the team for each language and briefing the interpreters on the event.

A six-language conference needs a booth for each language and a receiver for every delegate, while a ministerial meeting in the same week may call for a different system. A single agency's own stock seldom covers every combination, or may already be committed for another project on the same dates. We work with few reliable equipment providers to ensure that we can match capacity and specification to each event.

Microphones, projectors, screens, voting devices and other peripherals can be supplied within the same turnkey solution.

Questions about interpreters in Abu Dhabi

Simultaneous interpretation for conferences and forums, consecutive interpretation for meetings and visits. Both formats can be delivered on-site, remote or in hybrid setups. For on-demand short interpretation needs we also offer phone interpreter services. Additionally AI interpretation is offered for clientele who prefer it.

Simultaneous interpretation: we cover the official language of the UAE, Arabic, and the most frequently required languages, with interpreters available locally in combination with English: Russian, French, Spanish, Chinese and others. Together with English these are the six UN languages, so a UN-format meeting can be staffed locally. Interpretation into other languages may require interpreters to travel from other cities. Remote delivery can accommodate simultaneous interpretation into any major official language.

Consecutive interpretation: on-site, we can cover the most frequently required languages, with some limitations for rare and endangered languages. More choice is available if interpretation is provided remotely.

Please note that we can also provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation pairing Arabic with other major languages, including French, Spanish, and Russian, upon request.

On-demand phone interpretation: we cover 350+ languages including endangered and rare dialects. The full list is on our languages page.

Yes. Maven arranges booths, consoles, receivers, portable systems and technicians through local technical partners and coordinates them with the interpreters. The equipment section above explains what can be supplied, and microphones, projectors, screens and voting devices can be added.
Most of Maven's clients are UN agencies, intergovernmental organizations, governments, NGOs and international sports federations, and we also work for corporate clients. In Abu Dhabi that means government entities, intergovernmental bodies, embassies, exhibitors, event organizers and energy and financial companies.
We’d need to know the required interpretation languages, the dates and the duration of interpretation on each day, the venue (for a physical event, the city or area is sufficient), the format (on-site, hybrid or remote) and the subject matter of the event. If equipment is also required, we need to know the total number of delegates who will require interpretation. Where a meeting requires security clearance or advance registration for interpreters, please send the deadlines so that interpreter details are submitted in time.
The format (simultaneous or consecutive), the required languages, the duration (number of days or hours), the delivery mode (on-site, remote or hybrid) and the subject matter. Travel and per diem charges may apply if interpretation is required outside Abu Dhabi.
Simultaneous interpreters normally need 20 to 40 or more days' booking notice, although we understand this is not always possible. During peak weeks such as ADIPEC and Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, when many events run at once, some interpreters are booked as early as six months in advance. Consecutive interpreters can be booked at much shorter notice.
An advance payment, either full or partial, is normally required to confirm a booking. Selected and regular clients and the UN can be offered more flexible terms.
